the store clean yesterday, the store manager described all of us
original (and by original I mean those of us who have been there since
the opening) employees as family. :’) It is exactly how I’ve felt for
awhile now. Some of us have gotten so close and we all look out for each
other. They have all changed my life for the better. Even the new
employees (being there only about a month or so) have become a part of
the close knit we are. The newer employees, those who have only been
there two weeks or so, we’re still getting to know.

It breaks my heart though when coworkers leave. The most recent to
leave, Jeffrey and Emily H., two of my favorite people gone for college,
but promised to come back for the holidays. The upside to my
abandonment is knowing I will see them again :P and meeting new people
isn’t too bad either. ;)

Jeff and I have worked together since opening and as much as he gets
on my nerves at times, I love him to death. Emily had only been here a
little over month, but right off the bat, we got along really well. I
adore that girl! I love my job and even though we get a little under
each others skin at times, I really do love the people I work with.❤Elizabeth Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12021638472603321817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7673421864343285004.post-51318988210795225292012-07-01T18:13:00.001-07:002012-07-01T18:28:30.795-07:00Sneak Peak of my short story entitled 'She'.“She was stuck, and falling deeper into this big, deep, black
hole. It was sucking the very life out of her. She felt she had no
soul. Truth is, she felt she had nowhere to go, but away. Away seemed
like the safest and easiest place to go.”

It’s still a work in progress; nowhere near complete. I’m not ready to post what I have written out at this stage in the story.Elizabeth Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12021638472603321817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7673421864343285004.post-84550346894821014612012-05-15T00:14:00.004-07:002012-05-15T00:36:56.264-07:00Girl I KnowBand Tee's aren't exactly allowed at work, but they aren't not allowed either. As long as we dress them up or make them look "fashionable". For me, as a girl, I find it relatively easy. I curl my hair, wear some lipstick (I always do anyway), pair it with a skirt, some boots and voila!
I
bought these pants a few weeks back and couldn’t find anything in my
closet to wear them with. The chiffon blouse arrived about two weeks ago
in our store (I work at Tilly’s) and I fell in lust. I had to have it
and I knew exactly what to wear it with! I added the denim vest to add a
little modesty to the look.
I cutout all the words and sewed them onto a plain white t-shirt. The front said "No Bullshit". I sewed on the "Just Like Thieves" logo at the bottom left corner, and on the back I sewed on "Just Rock & Roll" I got a few compliments here and there on my shirt(:
Especially those you considered very close to you. Life is tormenting at times, and without friends to help you keep your chin up or put a smile on your face when times are rough, just plain sucks. It’s one of the most hurtful things to have someone you care about, ignore your existence and then point the finger at you. Maybe you had some fault, but they should be the ones to tell you how they feel. It can’t be completely your fault. Things could be mended with a heart to heart, but someone has to be the first to open up. If you don’t think the other person will, then you should. It could be that the other person has no idea of what they are doing or that they are doing anything wrong.

I have felt ignored by certain people in my life. One being my best friend of eight years. I felt abandoned by her, never mentioned a thing. I just moved on with my life and ignored her. She seemed to be too caught up with her personal life and other friends she had made when she moved to think about me. Nowadays, she's the one who feels abandoned by me. I'm still too scared to speak my feelings to her. I know she won't think the same as I do. Nothing was ever done with bad intentions on my behalf or hers. We don't speak anymore. But hey, we'll both live. I'll make new friends and the routine will continue.

When the time comes, your friends will show their true colors. Only your true friends will stand by your side. Every relationship no matter what shape or form, will have a few rough patches here and there. If the relationship becomes too unhealthy, then maybe it is time leave your friend behind. You will live, and so will they. Be grateful for those you have in your life, good friends are hard to come by. Keep your head up high, a smile on your face, good people by your side and move on with your life.Elizabeth Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12021638472603321817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7673421864343285004.post-88194356639164949492012-03-11T00:35:00.001-08:002012-03-11T00:37:44.896-08:00Good news/Bad newsGood news! I finally got the issue of my lost paycheck resolved.
Bad news, my favorite jeans ripped /:
Took a short trip to the library before stopping by my place of work, and the moment I sat down in the car, I heard a rip sound. Fortunately, it was on the inseam so it wasn’t too noticeable, unless you decided to walk behind me and stared at my ass the whole time.
I have to make room in my closet. YARD SALE! Okay, not really, it's winter. Besides, no one would buy my old ugly rags.
There's way too much <strike>junk</strike> in my closet that I don't wear or no longer fits me, and I'm going be honest, just plain ugly. I think that's a decent way for me to start off the new year. 'New Year, New Wardrobe'. Well, not exactly, I'm keeping most my clothing. I'm clearing up space and most of what's currently in my closet; never actually leaves my closet or ends up on my floor for weeks.
In my opinion, this should be done to closets worldwide.Elizabeth Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12021638472603321817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7673421864343285004.post-16279979903898612402011-12-13T02:23:00.000-08:002012-01-25T08:21:10.334-08:00It's been a bit crazy lately. New job, apartment searching, and SHOPPING! No one wants to miss out on holiday sales. ;)
I know I never posted anything about my fall fashion picks out of my closet and I apologize. I was a bit busy job searching, and I was lucky enough to have found a wonderful job. (Also, I am in need of a new camera.)
I am a part of the Tilly's Family. I enjoy working in retail, though I'll admit it can be very exhausting and slightly frustrating at times. But I'm learning and having fun. I've never worked before so this an new experience for me.
I'll catch up on fashion/outfit posts whenever I get a chance.Elizabeth Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12021638472603321817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7673421864343285004.post-49487761183233339542011-10-24T20:56:00.000-07:002012-01-25T08:21:10.334-08:00Low Budget Halloween CostumeI couldn't afford to have my Halloween costume custom made this year, as I did last year, so I decided to be something cheap, fun, messy and well skanky. Also one of my favorites.
This is from back in September, and well needless to say I did get a lot of looks, not all of them pretty. I love dressing a bit differently than everyone else in this town, everyone here is not as open-minded as they'd like to think they are.

Hype my look?
http://lookbook.nu/look/1259107-Shameless-Is-Another-Word-For-Confidence

Elizabeth Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12021638472603321817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7673421864343285004.post-77933915390236146052011-08-07T01:20:00.000-07:002012-01-25T08:21:10.334-08:00Public Pool, Private Party

I loved my outfit today. It was pretty simple but the blazer completed my look and made a bit of a statement. It would have been pretty bland and boring without it.

Give me a hype on lookbook please?
http://lookbook.nu/look/2253785Elizabeth Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12021638472603321817noreply@blogger.com0
